The ONE Legian received Tri Hita Karana Platinum II, while Hotel Vila Lumbung received Tri Hita Karana Emerald II. This moment is the second time for The ONE Legian & Hotel Vila Lumbung to gain success with the same medal category as the previous year.
Accreditation and the Tri Hita Karana award itself is an annual event as recognition for companies working in the tourism sector in following and preserving Balinese traditional philosophy and practicing harmonious relationships with society, God and the environment.
"This is proof of our consistency to continue to make positive changes to properties and in particular to preserve Balinese culture. Not only commercial, today's business is a matter of balance and support for the surrounding life, God, humans and of course the environment," said General Manager of The ONE Legian, Eka Pertama.
The same thing was conveyed by the Operation Manager of Hotel Vila Lumbung, Wayan Suada, that through a scheduled and directed Corporate Social Responsibility program, concern and harmony for God, humans and the environment can be formed. As Advisor at Vila Lumbung Hotel, Eka Pertama revealed how the two hotels implemented Tri Hita Karana.
In the Pawongan aspect, CSR activities aim for the hotel to contribute to the surrounding community, the hotel is committed that the existence of a hotel must be able to help the community both economically and socially. In addition, employees who work at the two hotels also receive family health coverage, work accident coverage, and even death.
Increased employee competency is also considered through training. Employees' children also receive scholarships to further improve their quality.
Another aspect of Tri Hita Karana is Palahan, which is manifested in the relationship between humans and the environment. The ONE Legian & Hotel Vila Lumbung translates this aspect through routine programs so that the environment is healthy and clean.
General Cleaning and Beach Cleaning activities are regularly carried out with employees. Plastic waste that usually clogs the sewers around the beach is collected.
There is also the placement of trash bins at several temple points and several other places with the hope that waste can be reduced because it is accommodated in the trash bins that have been provided.
The existence of The ONE Legian and Hotel Vila Lumbung in Bali certainly cannot be separated from the divinity aspects of Hindus. Therefore, the two hotels established a holy place in the form of Padmasana in the hotel area.
Padmasana can be used by all hotel employees who believe in Hinduism. Apart from that, The ONE Legian and Hotel Vila Lumbung also perform Yadnya by giving donations during religious ceremonies in the local village. (Adv/balipost)
